For yacht and boat clubs

Clubs often have members with boats they no longer use, taking up storage, moorings, or dry sail spots. A club-wide donation option can clear space and help members at the same time.

Share it with members

A note in the club newsletter or on the bulletin board is usually enough. Members contact us directly, and we coordinate pickups with the club office.

Club-owned boats

Retired club launches, training boats, and committee boats can be donated if the club holds title. The club receives the tax paperwork.

Old launches, safety boats, and training dinghies can be donated if the club holds title. The club receives the tax paperwork.

Clearing dry sail and mooring space

Members who no longer sail often keep boats on club racks or moorings. A donation option can free space for active members.

Scheduling around club events

We avoid regatta weekends and busy launch days. Tell us the club calendar.

Questions

Can several members donate on the same day?

Yes. Coordinated pickups are easier for everyone.

Do you take small dinghies and daysailers?

If they have resale value. Many small boats do, especially with trailers.

Is the club responsible for any of the paperwork?

Only for boats the club owns.

Can the club promote the program to members?

Yes. A newsletter note or bulletin board post is enough.
