Donate a personal watercraft
Sea-Doo, Yamaha WaveRunner, Kawasaki Jet Ski, and other personal watercraft, one at a time or a whole family fleet. Units on a single or double trailer are quick pickups, and units without a trailer are fine too.
Personal watercraft we accept
Is my personal watercraft worth donating?
Personal watercraft from the last 15 to 20 years usually have steady resale value, especially four-stroke models from the major makers. Hours matter more than age: many PWCs run well into the hundreds of hours with good care.
We will ask whether it runs, what happens if it does not, the condition of the hull and seat, and whether it has been stored inside. Units that sat for a few seasons often need only fuel system work.
Older two-stroke units in rough condition, units with hull cracks, and units missing major parts are the ones we may have to decline.
Not sure? Call (888) 228-7320 and describe it. That is often the fastest answer.
How pickup works for personal watercraft
PWCs are small, but a few details make pickup day smoother. Pickup is free, and timing depends on both sides' availability: sometimes a couple of days, sometimes a couple of weeks.
Paperwork for a personal watercraft
Personal watercraft are titled or registered like other boats in your state. Each unit has its own paperwork, and a trailer may have its own title or registration too.
If you are donating several units and some titles are missing, tell us which ones. We can often sort out duplicates while the rest of the donation moves ahead.
State-by-state rules are in our state guides. Lost the title? Read donating a boat without a title.
The tax deduction
Each personal watercraft is a separate item for tax purposes. You will receive a Form 1098-C for each unit that sells for more than $500.
See the tax guide for what that means on your return.
We do not provide tax or legal advice. Consult your own advisor.

Sea-Doo GTI, GTX, RXT, Spark, and Wake; Yamaha WaveRunner VX, EX, FX, and GP; Kawasaki Jet Ski Ultra, STX, and SX-R; and older Polaris and Honda units.
Not on the list? It is here to help you find your boat, not to limit what we take. We accept every make and model of personal watercraft, listed or not, including rare builders and companies that closed decades ago. A donation depends on the boat's condition and paperwork, never the name on the hull, so enter yours on the form even if you do not see it here.
Personal watercraft donation questions
I have two jet skis on one trailer. Is that one donation or two?
One donation, with separate paperwork for each unit and the trailer. You will get a Form 1098-C for each unit that sells for more than $500.
My jet ski has not run in three years. Should I try to fix it first?
No. Tell us what you know and let the buyer handle repairs. Spending money to get it running rarely comes back to you.
Do I need to winterize it before pickup?
No. If it is already winterized, leave it that way. If it is not, we still pick it up.
