Donate a pontoon boat

Pontoons and tritoons are among the most common boats we receive. They hold value well, and most pickups are simple.

What affects pontoon value

  • Tube condition: dents, leaks, and corrosion
  • Deck condition: soft spots in the plywood
  • Furniture and vinyl
  • Engine horsepower and hours
  • Two tubes or three (tritoon)

Pickup

Pontoons on a trailer are straightforward. Pontoons at a lake dock are usually loaded at the nearest ramp onto a pontoon trailer the transporter brings.

Two tubes or three

Standard pontoons ride on two aluminum tubes. Tritoons add a center tube, which usually means a larger engine and a higher resale value. Tell us which you have, along with the length and horsepower.

Check the tubes and the deck

Most pontoon value questions come down to two things. Walk around the tubes and look for dents, patched leaks, and white corrosion at the seams. Then walk the deck and feel for soft spots, especially near the gate and the helm, where plywood decks rot first.

  • Tubes: dents, leaks, corrosion
  • Deck: soft spots or sagging
  • Furniture: cracked or faded vinyl
  • Canvas: bimini top and mooring cover
  • Engine: horsepower, hours, and whether it starts

Lake-house and HOA pontoons

Many pontoons come from lake homes that are being sold or passed to the next generation. If the pontoon sits on a lift or at a shared dock, tell us how to reach it. The transporter loads it at the nearest ramp onto a pontoon trailer.

Not on the list? It is here to help you find your boat, not to limit what we take. We accept every make and model, listed or not, including rare builders and companies that closed decades ago. A donation depends on the boat's condition and paperwork, never the name on the hull, so enter yours on the form even if you do not see it here.

Questions

My deck is soft. Can I still donate?

Often, yes. Decks can be replaced. Tell us how bad it is.

Does a pontoon trailer need to come with it?

No. The transporter brings one if needed.

What about pontoons with bench seating and a large motor?

Those are popular. Include details in the form.

Can you pick up a pontoon from a boat lift?

Yes. Lower it into the water if you can, or tell us the lift is stuck, and we plan a ramp pickup.

My pontoon has no motor. Is it worth donating?

Sometimes. A newer pontoon with sound tubes and deck can still sell without a motor. Tell us the size and year.
