Ramp or haul-out
Trailerable boats are usually brought to a ramp and loaded. Larger boats are hauled with the marina's travel lift or crane, or moved by water to a yard.
Boats on moorings
We arrange for the boat to be brought to a dock or ramp. The mooring itself stays with you or the harbor.
Does it need to run?
Not necessarily. Boats that do not run can be towed by water to the ramp or lift.
Boats that are taking on water
If your boat is leaking, keep the bilge pump running and call us right away. We may need to schedule quickly or advise you to contact a towing service.
Boats that cannot run
A nonrunning boat can be towed by water to a ramp or lift. We arrange this with the marina.
Marina rules
Many marinas require that outside transporters check in with the office and carry insurance. We handle that coordination.
Questions
Who pays for the haul-out?
We arrange and cover moving the boat once the donation is agreed. Marina fees you already owe stay with you.
Can the boat stay in the water until pickup?
Yes. We schedule the haul-out and pickup together.
What if the boat is taking on water?
Tell us right away. A boat at risk of sinking needs quick action.
Can you pick up at a public ramp?
Yes, for trailerable boats.
Does my marina need to be told?
Yes. We coordinate with the office.
