No, boats do not need to be in working condition to donate. Please be sure to provide us with a detailed description of the condition of your vessel through the donation forms we have created specific to your vessel type: Powerboats – Sailboats – Houseboats – Yachts – Fishing Boats – Waverunner or Jetski – Commercial Vessels – Boat Trailers – Floating Homes

Our goal is to improve upon and then achieve the highest market value for your boat. We appreciate your generosity and go the extra mile to refurbish those boats that warrant repairs. Our extra elbow grease means top dollar for you when tax time comes! Per IRS guidelines, we will sell the vessel and generate your tax documents reflecting the amount it sold for, and that is the amount you can use for your deduction. Under normal circumstances, you can expect to receive your tax documents within 60-90 days from the date of donation.

Depending on the laws in your state, you may be able to use other documentation in lieu of a title. Please contact your local DMV or county/state government for a list of documents you can use to legally transfer ownership of your vessel.

No, the boat, motor, and trailer will be sold as one unit, therefore you will receive one tax document for your donation.

No, you do not need to be present at the time of pick-up. However, we do require that the vessel be easily accessible for our transporter, and all documentation must be provided at the time of pick-up, unless prior arrangements have been made.

Depending on the size of your vessel, as well as its location, we may be able to haul it away. Please complete the boat donation form, provide all relevant information, and a representative will contact you shortly.

To ensure that we are able to continue to assist those in need, we have guidelines in place to determine what can be accepted into our program. To determine if we are able to accept a donation, we estimate the costs to pick-up, store, and market the vessel. We then estimate what we believe the vessel will sell for. If the cost to accept the vessel is significantly lower than what we believe we can sell the vessel for, we are able to accept it – this is rarely the case with boat hulls.
